The most popular applications to remote access

There are many applications that allow us to remotely access a computer or operating system some with
greater security or reliability than others but generally all complement their function.

Here we will talk about the three most popular applications considering its reliability, security and
popularity in the online network among them are: VNC, Teamviewer and Putty.

What is VNC?

VNC is a remote access application that offers free and paid support for non-commercial use, with VNC
you can access various equipment or systems remotely and safely, one of the great advantages of VNC is
that you can access both Linux systems to windows and from windows to linux without any problem, with
an interface completely simple to use.

VNC uses the RFB protocol to transmit screen pixel data from one computer to another through a network
and send control events in exchange.

VNC Server captures the team's desktop in real time and sends it to the VNC Viewer for viewing. VNC
Viewer collects your input (mouse, keyboard or touch) and sends it to VNC Server to insert it and
effectively get the remote control.

For the download and use of VNC, an account must be created on the official VNC website. Once the account
has been created, you can connect to the account created by the computers you wish to access remotely.

teamviewer

What is Teamviewer?

Teamviewer is a very similar application for windows and linux with VNC but currently with greater popularity,
this is largely due to the fact that Teamviewer has a control panel more intuitive and easy to use by inexperienced
users. It also offers a very good performance in connectivity and use of system resources even for non-non-commercial
licenses.

Teamviewer offers connectivity from windows to linux and from linux to windows, just as VNC is mandatory to create an
account on the official website with which we can add the different computers that we want to access remotely. It offers
connectivity in a secure way and allows us to connect directly to the website, if you want more information visit the

What is PuTTY?

PuTTY is an SSH and telnet client, developed originally by Simon Tatham for the Windows platform. PuTTY is open
source software that is available with source code and is developed and supported by a group of volunteers.

PuTTY is one of the most popular remote access applications in spite of some access limitations, it allows remote
access from windows to linux or Linux to linux but it does not offer windows to windows access, this is because it
is a totally free application and doesnot offer support for the aplicasion.

The popularity of this application is due to its simplicity for connection to other equipment and is open source.
